Mother & Daughter Session | North Carolina Family Photographer

I love a good family session, but I really love a gorgeous Mother & Daughter session. The love that Kathleen has for her sweet Claire is clear and abundant. 

When the Christmas cards for this family were designed Kathleen used several portraits from this session and when their Priest received his card the photograph below inspired him for the sermon the day of her baptism. It's a lovely testament on the importance of helping lead your children to their life path and I'll admit that every time I read this sermon I get teary eyed when their Priest says that she is a courageous spiritual being that has just started her human journey. This young lady certainly has quite the journey in front of her, but has been completely blessed to have been given the family that she has :)

I'm really looking forward to this family's first family session coming up in just a few weeks!!!!!!

Mother's Day Mini Sessions | North Carolina Family Photographer

I've put a little somethin', somethin' together for all of you kiddo's and daddy-o's out there that want to get the main lady in your life the perfect gift for Mother's Day!!! 

The location for these sessions will be determined by moi ... all y'all have to do is choose a time from the one's listed, show up just a few minutes early, and be ready to vogue ;)

If we are destined for rain the date will be moved to May 27th.

Sutton's One Year Session : North Carolina Family Photographer

Well, a year has come and almost gone since this little lady graced us with her appearance!!!!!! Sut has grown so much and is surprising her parents daily! She's just recently taken her first 7 steps solo, is talking up a storm (her own language, of course), blowing kisses, high fiving, and waving "hello" and "adios"!!! She loves her furry sister, Chloe, and want to give her love all of the time. Her daddy is gonna make a little surfer/skater chick while her mama shapes her into quite the fashionista and organic eater :)

Sut, you are one amazing little girl and I am so glad to be a part of your life!!! And thanks for the little love kiss at the end of your session! Love you tons!!!!

The Hancock's are a family whose love for each other is as big as their personalities! Johnny and Dana are the type of could that walk into a room and fill it with energy and happiness.  Johnny is a guys guy and Dana always has a smile on her face.  Their home is filled with southern hospitality and charm and the moment you walk through their door, you feel like you've known them your entire life.

Just when you think Johnny and Dana have stolen the show, in walks Mason, their four year old with the perfect blend of each of their personalities.  He has a silly sense of humor and a feisty spirit.

As this family grows, with their newest edition Kennedy, you can see how much they love each! There is a quiet calmness in the way that mason looks at his little sister while Dana holds her that tells me he will always look after her. Watching Dana snuggle her sweet little girl, you can tell that this is a mother who will do anything for her daughter.  When Johnny holds Kennedy, you can see that he is already wrapped around her little finger.  This is a family that loves each other deeply and there is no other place they would rather be than with each other.

This gorgeous little lady made her grand entrance into this great big world already has tons of people that love her ... including me :) 

Can't forget about Bella girl!!!!!!!

The Harris Fam | Wilmington, NC | Family Session

Just a few days short from exactly a year after our previous session the Harris' and I met up again! The girls have def grown up and become such gorgeous and fun little ladies!!! This go around we met up in the Wilmington area on probably the hottest day ever! I seriously thought that we would have to postpone this shoot due to the heat and severe thunderstorms surrounding us ... I was wrong. These kiddos were troopers!!!

I had the pleasure of being able to spend a little time taking some photos of my favorite kiddos while back in NC last month. The shoot honestly only lasted maybe 45 minutes because that's when the meltdowns started. This really was one of the only nice days that we had the WHOLE 2 weeks I was down!!!!! The flowers were gorgeous and smelled even better. After this winter in Boston I really needed this one day ... meltdowns and all ;)
