Mothers Day Gift Session | Fine Art Portrait Photographer | North Carolina

This year I've decided to design a session that can be gifted for Mothers Day to all of those mama bears out there!!!!! This is a 30 minute fine art portrait session that includes all of the children from one household, their mother, and/or grandmother. It also comes with a personal online viewing gallery and one 8x12 fine art giclee. Seriously, these giclee prints are far more GORGEOUS than a standard print!!!!!! Once this gift has been purchased you will receive a printed gift certificate and can add a personal note at no additional cost :) 

These sessions are $65 and can not be purchased after May 12th, 2013. 

This session expires one year after purchase, but I'm sure that with all of this warm weather every session will book quickly!!!!!!! The season of hibernation is finally over ... HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday, Ainsley | Life

Someone is turning 13 TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time has flown by and Ainsley has become a teenager. I remember the days when all she wanted to do was sit in your lap and cuddle while sucking her thumb and twirling her hair with her pointer finger. There were def times that we had to cut her hair from that pointer finger because it had become so entangled. She also used to walk around with this fake cell phone and call it her "cella phone" ... "Call me on my cella phone, Aunt Court" :) And boy did she LOVE some Bob Marley and The Grateful Dead's "Tennessee Jed". LOVED it! She loved music in general. The summer that Ludacris' "Move B-word (Get Out the Way)" came out she edited to relate to her own life by throwing in her big sister's name, thus singing "Move, Bairdy. Get out the way. Get out the way, Bairdy. Get out the way" ... Genius. She is the only one of her sister's that didn't cuss when she was little. Not that the other's had mouths like sailors! Once I was talking to her mom or one of my girlfriend's, while Ains was close by, about this awful roommate that I used to have. Since I knew she was within an earshot I used my words carefully ... or so I thought. I told the other person about how this roommate called me a "witch" (but really she started that word with a "b" instead of a "w") and right away Ains started asking questions. I'm pretty sure Ainsley thought that I practiced magic for a couple of years following that incident...

I could go on and on with stories about this sweet little girl, but what I really want to say more than anything is that she has turned into such a great young woman and I am beyond proud to be her Aunt :)

Ains LOVES to model ... she actually begs for sessions of her own. She's a natural.

I mean, look at these two poses she came up with herself (circa: before digital). Classic and edgy. Can we say "prodigy"???

And here are some of the two of us just being cool (top left to right): This one was just after my wreck so half of my face was paralyzed, but Ains didn't care about my creepiness ... she just loved me. This next one was at Battle of the Bands on ECU's campus ... She was a dancing machine. Numero three is one when we visited them at Camp Seafarer ... I almost squeezed her to death this day. And the last is at our fave hangout spot, Chico's (the Mexican restaurant, not the store) :)

My Personal Assistant | North Carolina Lifestyle Photographer

This is gonna be a busy weekend!!!! To start off we're gonna wrap up our final shoot for courtneycourtney this evening with my favorite 8 year old!!! Following this shoot she's gonna be my little assistant for the Daily Reflector's "Scene Around" at the D.H. Conley Baseball and Softball game this evening and then again for the 3rd Annual Greenville Rec Run & Kids Dash early tomorrow morning. My nieces are such helpers that if I even just a little bit mention to one of them the possibility of maybe being able to "assist" me at a shoot they start arguing over who's turn it is. They have learned so much from being able to tag along with me to work and it shows in the photos of themselves as well as the ideas they give me for photos. They are little gorgeous genius'.

I got a phone call from the ginger one yesterday and as soon as she started talking I could tell that she was up to something. She had decided that since we had such a busy evening and morning coming up that it would make more sense for us to have a sleepover ... instead of my driving 5 minutes to pick her up ;) 

So, bring it on, weekend, because I have a personal assistant that's gonna help me kick your butt!!!!! 

Mother's Day Mini Sessions | North Carolina Family Photographer

I've put a little somethin', somethin' together for all of you kiddo's and daddy-o's out there that want to get the main lady in your life the perfect gift for Mother's Day!!! 

The location for these sessions will be determined by moi ... all y'all have to do is choose a time from the one's listed, show up just a few minutes early, and be ready to vogue ;)

If we are destined for rain the date will be moved to May 27th.

Sutton's One Year Session : North Carolina Family Photographer

Well, a year has come and almost gone since this little lady graced us with her appearance!!!!!! Sut has grown so much and is surprising her parents daily! She's just recently taken her first 7 steps solo, is talking up a storm (her own language, of course), blowing kisses, high fiving, and waving "hello" and "adios"!!! She loves her furry sister, Chloe, and want to give her love all of the time. Her daddy is gonna make a little surfer/skater chick while her mama shapes her into quite the fashionista and organic eater :)

Sut, you are one amazing little girl and I am so glad to be a part of your life!!! And thanks for the little love kiss at the end of your session! Love you tons!!!!

Jordan's Belly Session | North Carolina Maternity Photographer

Jordan might just be one of the sweetest and most gorgeous mama's out there. She has the most exquisite taste and owns a wonderful home decor shop, Coastal Fog, here in Greenville while her husband is finishing up his last year in East Carolina University's Med School. This lovely couple and their tail waggin' retrievers are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the newest addition to their family! He's running a bit late, but when Mister Crew makes his appearance into this world he is going to be surrounded by so many people that are already in love with him :)

It's official ... We're headed back to the South!!!!!!

After mucho consideration John and I have decided to give things a go back in North Carolina!

John's gonna get to know my crazy, outgoing, imaginative, silly, straightforward, fearless nieces way better than he has the past year and a half over Skype! If y'all follow me on Facebook you know that those girls are dear to my heart and I have missed them SOOOOO much!!!!

So, this move is going to happen really soon, like, in a month! CRAZY, huh??!?!!???!! That's how we roll ;)

Beth + Brian | Myrtle Grove Plantation | NC Wedding Photographer

I couldn't have been happier to have met this wonderful couple and photograph their big day! Everything was laid back and fun and throughout the day I saw that Brian and Beth surround themselves with people that reflect who they are. Really, I left this wedding wanting to be friends with everyone that attended ;)

Beth's two Grandmothers were unable to attend the ceremony, so, we nixed the Bride and Groom portrait time so that they could see them on their wedding day and so we could capture just a few images with these two lovely ladies instead ... it was so sweet that I have to say that I shed a few tears. 

Throughout the evening the couple spent most of their time talking to their friends and family while the party people kept the action going on the dance floor! Towards the end of the reception the couple FINALLY made it out on the floor and got down!!!

Thank you so much for letting me capture your day, guys! You two are going to have an absolutely gorgeous life together!!!
